Using Dual-Use for PC

Requirements & Limitations

Dual-Use was built as a 16-bit DOS application. There is no obvious reason why it should not run on any IBM-compatible PC.

Running Dual-Use from DOS

Dual-Use can be run from DOS with the command line:-
dual-use <input filename> [<output file>]
E.g. dual-use new-keys.asc changed.asc

If you omit the optional second argument than the output filename defaults to the same as the input filename but with .DUU as the suffix.
E.g. dual-use new-keys.asc
is equivalent to: dual-use new-keys.asc new-keys.duu

Running Dual-Use from File Manager in Windows

Probably the easiest way to use Dual-Use is to use File Manager to drag the input file icon and drop it onto dual-use.exe. This is equivalent to running as a DOS command with one argument so the output will be a .DUU file.
