Using Dual-Use for Macintosh
Requirements & Limitations
Dual-Use was built as an 68k application and has been tested on both 68030 and PowerPC. There is no obvious reason why it should not run on any Mac. It always reading and writes complete files in a single operation. This means that there is probably a limit on the maximum size of input file that it can handle. This is not expected to be a problem except perhaps with very large key-rings. The program has very small disc and memory requirements.
How to use Dual-Use
When run Dual-Use puts up a Standard File Dialog Boxs to select the input file and then another to select the output file. It will repeat this indefinitely until the input file box is closed with "cancel". The program then exits.
Checking the Signature
The Dual-Use executable is shipped with a read-me file and detacted signature file
dual-use.bin.asc This is a signature file executable in MacBinary format. To check the signature you must first use MacPGP's "MacBinarize..." function to generate dual-use.bin and then check the dual-use.bin.asc signature against dual-use.bin
